Discerning Seducing Spirits

Seduce: lead astray, tempt, lure, bewitch, ensnare, allure, beguile, captivate, draw-on, defile, corrupt, pervert or charm. Seduce: entice into ungodly sexual activity (idolatrous worship) or wrong doing, persuade to disobedience or disloyalty, to lead astray by false promises. Seduction and seducing spirits like any other spirit is most capable when believers entertain them. This spirit however is directly connected to unchecked desires in the believer for the things of self, stubbornness,
rebellion, pride, the world (kosmos); the material realm and all that it consist of see (I John 2:15-17) Satan’s attempt at seducing the Lord is carried out through temptation on three levels, the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

The Lord declared in John 14:28-31 that the prince of this world had nothing in Him. Once again Satan’s seduction believer’s is only as strong as the roots he’s planted in us through sin and generational bondage in our blood-lines. Issue of Authority

(Genesis 3:1-13) Eve’s seduction begins with an illegal conversation (I Corinthians 15:33, Ephesians 4:22, 29).

She’s a type of a prophetic church in the initial stages of seduction whose attention to another source pulled her into deception by what she saw and heard. Verse 13 reveals the root cause for the fall of man…And the woman said, the serpent beguiled (to lead astray mentally, to delude or from a moral perspective seduce) me
and I did eat. See also II Corinthians 11:3-4

Issue of Gifting and Charisma

(I Kings 13:1-10) The prophet of God, in the place of obedience executed the will of God on Jeroboam and the altar was destroyed. Seducing spirits will often try to link up with churches gifted in the prophetic for the purpose of prostituting them. Verses 11-26; is a sad event because the young prophet who was used mightily
of God disobeyed Him and was destroyed.

Issue of Doctrine and Teaching

(I Timothy 4:1-2) Sound doctrine and teaching are imperative for the believer to overcome seduction. Seduction will most often lead us astray from God and the principles He requires us to abide by in every aspect of our lives. “We must try spirits by the Spirit” I John 4:1; “My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me” John
7:16; “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God

READ II Timothy 3:12-17

Issue of False Christ
(Mark 13:22) This speaks to those who merchandise the anointing and lead people astray from the principles of Christ. We are admonished in I John 2:26-27 trust His anointing inside of us which will teach us all things
